Why

I was born in the 1950's. I grew up appreciating nature. From 6 years old until a sophomore in high school I had pet turtles, snakes, hamsters, and others. I fed them. I kept them alive (and I think happy).

I was educated in the sciences. A stalagmite might reach the ceiling. A stalactite holds tight to the ceiling. A piece of metamorphosis was gneiss but we always took it for granite.

My career was in technology. I programmed telephone switches. I was fluent in COBOL, FORTRAN, C++, and various control languages.

I love philosophy, humor, reading, and thinking. I wrote songs like Allan Sherman and Weird Al Yankovic. In school I read to the public at The Upper Room coffee house. Now that I am out of school I read to the public at The Corner House.

I write a variety of science fiction, poetry, flash fiction, and other speculations. If you have any comments on what I write I would be glad to read them.

The whole world works together on many levels and working together is important to strive for. Plus a laugh here and there helps us through.
