The Write Time Writers Group has meetings every 2nd and 4th Thursdays at
The Vineyard Church
in Wheaton, Illinois

1900 Manchester Rd
Wheaton, Illinois

From 7pm to 9pm

The 2nd Thursday handles a specified writing theme.
The 4th Thursday is held for people to bring in a sample of their writing
for purposes of Critique.

You should bring in a one to three page excerpt, type written, with copies
for 6 people.

Why

I was born in the 1950's. I grew up appreciating nature. From 6 years old until a sophomore in high school I had pet turtles, snakes, hamsters, and others. I fed them. I kept them alive (and I think happy).

I was educated in the sciences. A stalagmite might reach the ceiling. A stalactite holds tight to the ceiling. A piece of metamorphosis was gneiss but we always took it for granite.

My career was in technology. I programmed telephone switches. I was fluent in COBOL, FORTRAN, C++, and various control languages.

I love philosophy, humor, reading, and thinking. I wrote songs like Allan Sherman and Weird Al Yankovic. In school I read to the public at The Upper Room coffee house. Now that I am out of school I read to the public at The Corner House.

I write a variety of science fiction, poetry, flash fiction, and other speculations. If you have any comments on what I write I would be glad to read them.

The whole world works together on many levels and working together is important to strive for. Plus a laugh here and there helps us through.
